This dialog allows the domain, range and type of the graph to be changed. Either axis can be linear or logarithmic, giving four graph types:
Lin/Lin
Lin/Log
Log/Lin
Log/Log
Linear graph axes can have any starting and any finishing value, and any number of divisions. The values of the divisions will be printed adjacent to the line when plotted. Sensible choice of the number of divisions can give superb results.
Linear scales on the horizontal axis can be expressed in terms of π, simply by checking the ‘xπ’ box.
Logarithmic graph axes can have a starting value which should be a simple power of 10, and a number of cycles. It is not recommended that more than six cycles are used because the crowded lines will render the graph cluttered and difficult to read, especially on small screens.
In either case, simply enter your desired parameters and click OK to plot the graph.
